Waterfalls in New Hampshire are as abundant as our wildlife. It's difficult to travel down our country roads without seeing either a waterfall or some type of wildlife. Those Brake For Moose signs are there for a reason!
Listed below are a few of our most visited waterfalls. Only the locals know about the "secret" waterfalls.

Ammonoosuc Falls - Lower Carroll, NH
Directions: Old Cherry Mountain Road, off Rt. 302 between Twin Mountain and Fabyan.
Ammonoosuc Falls - Upper Carroll, NH
Directions: Route 302 and turn north on Base Road, leading to Marshfield and the Cog Railroad. On the right side of the road about 2.3 miles from Route 302.
Appalachia Falls Randolph, NH
Directions: 2.6 mile Valley Way loop trail includes Cold Brook Falls, Tama Fall, Salroc Falls, and Gordon Falls. Trail starts at Appalachia parking area off U.S. Route 2 about 1/2 mile west of Randolph.
Arethusa Falls, Bemis Brook Falls Height: 176' Livermore, NH
Directions: 1½ mile path south of Willey House site off Rt. 302 in Crawford Notch.
Artist Falls Conway, NH
Directions: Off Route 16 and 302 on Artist Falls Road.
Avalanche Falls, Liberty Gorge Cascade, The Pool Height: 25' Lincoln, NH
Directions: Near the Flume Gorge, Franconia Notch.
Baby Flume Height: 5' Lincoln, NH
Directions: Located several miles downstream from the Basin. Take the marked trail south along the Pemigewasset River.
Baker River Warren, NH
Directions: Northeast of Warren within view of Rt. 118.
The Basin, Cascades, Kinsman Falls, Rocky Glen Falls Lincoln, NH
Directions: North of the Flume, called "the Old Man's Foot Basin." The Basin is .1 mile from the parking lot. The Cascades is .2 mile from the starting point. Kinsman Falls is .5 mile from the parking lot. Rocky Glen Falls is over a mile from the starting point.

Beaver Brook Cascade Height: 1000' Kinsman Notch, NH
Directions: Route 112 to Kinsman Notch. Pull into the hiker's parking lot. Follow the signs to the trail.
Beaver Brook Falls Height: 10' Washington Street Extension - Keene, NH
Directions: Right off Washington Street to Old Concord Road. Washington Street Extension ends in a metal gate.
Beaver Brook Falls Height: 100' Colebrook, NH
Directions: Take Route 145 North, off Interstate 93; follow signs to Beaver Brook Falls.

Directions: Three miles up Sandwich Notch Road from Center Sandwich
Brickett Falls Height: 30' Chatham, NH
Directions: Route 113 to North Chatham. Just north of North Chatham, look on the west side of the road for the Mount Meader Trail. The falls are a little over a mile up the trail.

Directions: Coppermine Trail off of Route 116 near Easton
Campton Falls Height: 15' Campton, NH
Directions: Take Exit 27 off I-93N to Blair Road. Turn left onto Route 175 at stop sign. Pull over after the place where Beede River passes under a bridge.
Cascade Brook Falls Height: 200' Lincoln, NH
Directions: Route 93 North into Franconia Notch. Look for the Basin parking area and park here. Take the trail for Cascade Brook.

Directions: Park in the lot adjacent to the Austin Mill Brook Bridge off North Road in Shelburne. Take trail to the upper portion of Dryad or follow the Peabody Brook trail.

Directions: The falls are located approximately one mile up-stream from the Kancamagus Highway Bridge.

Directions: Magalloway Lookout tower Road. PassLookout Tower Road. Pass road on right then gated road on left. There is a parking area at the trail to the falls. Take the trail on the left with small rocks marking it.

Directions: Follow Crawford Path which is located across Route 302 from Crawford Depot.

Goodrich Falls Height: 80' Bartlett, NH
Directions: Located on the Ellis River. The falls are below the Route 16 bridge in Jackson. Pull off onto side roads before or after the river to search for the best view.

Directions: Located near the Basin Campground, off Route 113 in Chatham.

Directions: Located just off the Isaac Frye Highway in Wilton. Park at the end of the dirt road just after the point where the road goes over the stream. Private property.

Directions: Located in the Nash Stream Forest just off of Nash Stream Road.

Directions: Located at the top of Manning Hill in Winchester.
Purgatory Falls Height: 30' Lyndeborough, NH
Directions: Purgatory Falls Road.
Raymond Cascade Height: 394' Sargeant's Purchase, NH
Directions: Located between Tuckerman's and Huntington Ravines.
Ripley Falls and Kendron Flume Height: 108' Harts Location, NH
Directions: On Route 302, Crawford Notch, take Ethan Pond Trail.

Directions: Located a couple miles from the Lower Falls on the Kancamagus Highway.
Sabbaday Falls Height: 40' Waterville, NH
Directions: On the Kancamagus Highway.
Sculptured Rock Falls Height: 25' Hebron, NH
Directions: Interstate 93 to Plymouth. Take Route 3A south into Hebron and drive five miles past the intersection of Route 25. Right on North Shore Road. 2.4 miles onto Groton Road. Left at fork on onto Sculptured Rocks Road.
Silver Cascades Height: 640' Harts Location, NH
Directions: North of Rt. 302 in Crawford Notch.

Directions: Off Stinson Lake Road above Ellsworth
Swiftwater Falls Height: 12' and 60' Bath, NH and Lincoln, NH
There are two falls by this name. The first one is located in Bath, beneath the Swiftwater Bridge. The other waterfall is much larger. Located in Lincoln, it can be found on the popular Falling Waters Trail in Franconia Notch.
Thirteen Falls Franconia, NH
Directions: Located in the Pemigewasset Wilderness in the valley between Owl's Head and the Garfield/Galehead Ridge. Take the Kancamagus Highway and travel east of Lincoln, turn into parking lot.
Thompson's Falls and Emerald Pool Height: 200' Pinkham's Grant, NH
Directions: 1 1/2 miles south of Pinkham Notch Camp
Thoreau Falls Height: 80' Bethlehem, NH
Directions: From Route 302, turn onto Zealand Road. Trail starts at end of road.
Tucker Brook Falls Tucker Brook Town Forest, Milford
Directions: From the Milford Oval, go West on Elm St, take immediate left onto Union Street, to Osgood Road. Take right onto Mason Road. 2.9 miles to Boulder Dr.
Waterville Cascade Height: 130' Waterville, NH
Directions: Near Snow's Mountain ski lift in Waterville Valley.
Welton Falls Height: 25' Alexandria, NH
Directions: Located off Welton Falls Road in Alexandria.
Winneweta Falls Height: 40' Jackson, NH
Directions: Located off Route 16 just north of Jackson Village. Park in the dirt turnoff, cross the Ellis River and walk across a meadow to find the marked trail.
Zealand Falls Height: 25' Bethlehem, NH
Directions: From Route 302, turn onto Zealand Road. Trail starts at the end of the road.
